As an HVAC Technician, we need you to troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair, and perform maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems. If you can do this and meet the following requirements, apply today!
- 2+ years of residential heating and air conditioning service experience
- Physical ability to perform the requirements of the position
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check upon hire
A journeyman or master mechanical license is preferred but not required.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN HVAC APPRENTICE
As an HVAC Apprentice, you are eager to learn from our experienced technicians! You love that no two days are the same as you tackle a variety of tasks and face many exciting challenges head-on. Our experienced technicians help guide you on how to replace and install heating and air conditioning systems and equipment. With great attention to detail, you thoroughly examine problems to find efficient solutions.
You check to make sure the system is running at its best as well as to measure out an area for a new unit if necessary. You get to apply your knowledge and gain more experience with each installation, repair, and maintenance job that you take on. When you get home, you study and continue to improve your residential knowledge with our training program. You are excited to advance in an important skilled trade while providing our community with quality comfort!
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PLUMBING APPRENTICE
As a Plumbing Apprentice, you are eager to learn! You ask questions, observe, and emulate our company values. You go out in the field and assist our experienced plumbers. As you assist them and help increase their efficiency, they mentor and train you on everything from how to talk with customers to how to service systems and install equipment. You also help keep trucks, tools, and job sites clean and organized.
You are a hard worker who does whatever is asked of you and pays close attention to what you're being taught. You enjoy interacting with customers and fellow employees. You also spend some of your time taking classes and continuing to expand your knowledge and skills. You are excited to be part of our apprenticeship team and can't wait to advance in this stable and well-paid career as a plumber!

Q:Do I have to provide my own truck?
A:Pat Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning will provide a truck for you to drive on the job and take home at night (unless an HOA prohibits it). Pat Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning will also pay for the fuel and maintenance for the vehicle! We do ask you to keep it clean and let us know of any issues by performing a weekly truck inspection check.
Q:What about uniforms?
A:Pat Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning uses a uniform service. This service is paid for by the company. The service includes shirts and pants. We do require Pat Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning monogrammed coats, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and hats. You will only need to provide a black work boots.
Q:Do I need to provide my own tools?
A:You are responsible for your own hand tools, but we do provide a tool account that allows the cost of these tools to be deducted in smaller amounts from your paycheck. If you need a certain hand tool – any brand – let us know and we can provide it for you.
Q:What about vacation time?
A:Employees receive five paid holidays and their birthday. After one year, you will receive a week of paid vacation.
Q:What about health insurance?
A:Health and dental insurance is available to employees, spouses, and their families.
Q:Is there a retirement option?
A:We offer a Simple IRA retirement plan with matched contributions up to 3%. We also provide support in financial planning.
